Its a great program but we have been using it at the shop and have
found that if your hijacked or infected it can't remove all the crap.
The best solution is to start off with a reloaded system with all
updates etc. and installed before going to any web sites.
When it is done this way it acts like zone alarm by asking you about
any software change. I was suprised that it asked me if it was ok that
a .txt file was put in the start up folder. (I put it there for a
customer to read about their repairs etc.)

Considering that for several years now, some of the most insidiously buried
"spyware" extant has been produced and distributed *by* Microsoft (cf.
<http://www.hevanet.com/peace/microsoft.htm> or
<http://www.futurepower.net/microsoft.htm>), the answer is self-evident.

So then, in light of that failure, why do you consider it "a great program"?

That's always true, but it's not particularly relevant to either my question
or the OP's.
