    F-Secure slows system down?

I have a win xp home system with 3 gig processor and 1 gig of ram. Will
running F-Secure antivirus and antispyware and firewall slow down my system?

*ALL* antivirus software will slow your system in one way or another.
F-Secure will have a slightly bigger hit because of it uses multiple
engines. With a gig of ram and 3GHz processor it wont be that much
    though.

Charter Communication provides the f-Secure antivirus and
firewall product to all its cable users at no charge (Note I did
not say spyware.). It appears to be the F-Secure Internet
Security 2005 product. I have it running on a Dell PC using Win
XP Home on a wireless LAN with 512MB of ram, almost 3 GB
processor and have not seen any significant degradation in
performance like I have observed with Symantec's products. In
fact, I intend to load it on another PC as Charter provides 3
    licenses.
