Is your date and time correct on your pc? Try purging the defs.ref
file in your ad-aware program file folder and running the update
again.

PC clock is A-OK
Removing Defs resulted in attempt to reload SEIR34 23.03.2005 !
Manual load of SEIR35 31.03.2005 worked.

This happens to me all the time. Usually it updates automatically
several days after it is announced on here.

Must have bought our slow PCs from the same supplier :-)

Following up my own post, now I am *really*confused!
Like Steve, I found that AdAware would not update automatically from
SEIR34. Then I saw in this newsgroup that SEIR35 was available on 31
March. Then SEIR36 was available on 1 April. But still my AdAware would
not update automatically.
So I decided to go direct to the AdAware site
(http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/), downloaded SEIR36 and
installed it.
But now when I run AdAware, it says that *SEIR35* is installed!
Just WHAT is going on?

To add to the confusion, I had no problems loading SEIR36 and it reports
itself as SEIR36.

And to add even *more* confusion, after *manually* downloading and
installing SEIR36 on 2 April but AdAware saying it was SEIR35, AdAware
*automatically* downloaded SEIR36 today (4 April)!
Lavasoft may be good at detecting malware, but they still have a way to
go in handling updating properly. (And the same goes for Spybot Search &
Destroy as well).
