Since you appear to know almost nothing about p2p I'd suggest you
start here: www.slyck.com The WinMx program that's being suggested to you
for some unkown reason is relatively old technology and no longer
particularly good for anything. You can find what you want on eMule or
Shareaza, but you're really better off going with a Bit Torrent client like
Bit Comet. You need to be aware that some companies are aggresively
enforcing their copyrights. Microsoft and Symantec are a couple of examples.
Most newer p2p programs force uploading so you need to watch what you
download. For software better sources are the better warez sites and usenet.
Alt.cracks has become a good group for help locating the better warez sites.
Check out the sites that the regulars recommend. Often sites recommended for
one program will have many other clean programs available. Downloading from
usenet you have the advantages that you aren't forced to upload and infected
files tend to be reported on the group. It's a good idea to wait a few days
before actually using anything you download from usenet to see if any
problems are reported.

Before running software that you get from unofficial sources here's
something else to consider:

You're really asking this question in the wrong place. On average this
question is asked over once a week on alt.internet.p2p. Every program has
its fans and detractors.
