I installed WinMX recently on a friend's recommendation, and was
alarmed to find that upon starting it up, my netmeter showed over
10kb/s going both ways before I'd even touched a key - stopped when I
exited the program. I'm not sure if this is bad or not, but it
certainly frightened me off.
