Two Questions About Spybot and Winamp

    Hi,
Will Spybot run on XP home SP1, The last full version and not the
beta one. I have it running on 98 at the moment. If I install it on XP
will I just do an update as normal to get the latest includes etc.
How is Winamp 3 in regards to spyware and security I am thinking of
using this for MP3's rather than the Windows Media Player that comes
with XP as I am told this is always trying to phone home and is a little
dodgy. I would presume that Real One is the other alternative but it
always seems to come with a gold pass that you have to cancel payment on
if you do not wish to use that facility and I always forget to do things
like that. I believe it also this contains spy and adware.
Any Input appreciated on any of the above topics.
    Thanks and Regards

In WiMP you can disable the "phone home" in the options...suggestion, WinAmp 3 really
sux(IMHO)..go to ZDnet or CNet and d/l ver WinAmp5 beta 2(much better tollerance, AOL does
not install as in prev vers when told not to, and less resource hogging, ver 3 was an
    oopsy)..
