Spybot Crashed W2K Box on 3230/10456

I've been using Spybot on two Win2K machines for quite some time. On
one of them, for the past couple of months, Spybot has been crashing
the machine, which then shuts down, every time it hits 3230/10456. I
have the latest update as of Nov. 11. The text for 3230 is "Actual
    Names.AdvSearch".

Does enyone have a clue how I can clean this up? Also, of course,
Spybot never gets to complete the scan.

    TIA.

I have the very same problem on a W98 machine.

It happened after I downloaded the most recent update today.

I never had problems with Spybot before.

It even gets worse: Upon starting Spybot, the machie now crashes.

I don't have a problem booting up or running anything....except Spybot.
Siljaline, do you perhaps have an idea about this?
    Thanks,

Re: Spybot Crashed W2K Box on 3230/10456

I have found a work-around (not satisfying though):

Start Spybot, select Advanced mode and select 'Actual Names Advsearch'
    as to be excluded.

When scanning, it halts at 'ActualNamesAdvSearch' for quite a while,
    but does not crash.
It then finishes the scan al the way to the end.

Thanks, I will try this. But as you point out, it's not really a solution.
