OT: These Scam's are just getting better......

Below is the latest one to hit my mail..and I now know where I was had at, it was from
signing a guestbook at Bruce Hornsby's site.. I think I gonna have a li fun with em now
    per hints at http://419eater.com/ ROFL...

FROM THE DESK OF: MR.ROBERT BEAUD
    PRIVATE E-MAIL: robert@robertbeaud.com

    TOP SECRET

    Good Day, XXXXXXXX
Courtesy of Business opportunity, I take liberty anchored on strong desire
to solicit for your assistance on this mutual beneficial and risk free transaction
with you, which I hope you give urgent attention. To be precise, I am Robert
Beaud the Manager of Bills/Exchange at the Foreign Exchange/Remittance Department
(Bank Name Withheld). In my department, we discovered an abandoned sum of
US$12,524,000.00 (Twelve Million, Five Hundred and Twenty Four Thousand United
States Dollars) in an account that belongs to one of our customers who died
along with his entire family in 1988 Lockerbie Pan American Airline plane
    crash.

Since we got information about his death, we have been expecting his next
of Kin to come over and claim his money, because we can not release it unless
somebody applied for its next of Kin or Relation to the deceased as indicated
in our banking procedure, but unfortunately to no avail, and nobody has come
forward to claim the money (because the mentioned next of kin which is Son
    died as well).

Therefore, upon this discovery I and other two officials in my department
now decide to establish a cordial business relationship with you, hence my
contacting you. We want you to purportedly present your good self as the
next of Kin or relation of the deceased so that we can prepare documentations
and release the funds (US$12.524 Million) into your account for safety and
subsequent disbursement since nobody is coming for it and again we do not
want the funds to go into the Governments account as "Unclaimed Bill".

The banking law and procedures herein stipulates that any account abandoned
or dormant for a period of some years is subjected to be closed and all money
contained therein will be forfeited to the Government Treasury Account. Now
it is being speculated that the above sum will be transferred into Government
Treasury Account as unclaimed funds on or before October 2003.

The reason for you to present your good self as the next of kin in occasioned
by the fact that the deceased customer was a foreigner. Mode of sharing after
the successful completion of the transfer is as follows, for the role you
will be expected to play in the whole exercise, we have agreed to give you
twenty five (25%) of the total sum, and 5% has been set aside for expenses
we are going to encounter by both parties in the process of this transaction
and the remaining 70% shall be for my colleagues and I. In support of the
aforementioned, you are urged to reply this letter indicating your readiness
and interest to participate in the business. After you reply, you will be
advised on the next step forward.

I quite believe that you will protect our interest by keeping this business
Top Secret and Confidential, as your interest will be equally protected in
order to achieve and maintain maximum confidentiality. Trust to hear from
you on my private email address: robertb1@bluemail.ch in the letter as I
    count on your earliest response.

    Sincerely Yours,
    Mr. Robert Beaud.

    ><snip>

I'm 60 and first encountered the Nigerian Scam in the 1970s, when I
got one through the ordinary post. Lovely typed job it was - fancy
headers and all. Wish I'd kept it - might have been collectable by
    now...

I live in a small village in the s of Scotland. About a month ago one
of my neighbours got one of those nice e-mails from Nigeria and asked
me if it was genuine - so of course I set her straight. Thought that
    was that.

But she took the email to the local village 2-man cop-shop - and
    they've promised to take action.

    I can hardly wait...

Well atleast I did not get off a post reply and carry a personal flame war on for 50+
posts, cross-posting to several groups, and that was more SPAM than my post as a warning
to unsuspecting newbies...So to quote someone famous, "Kindly F**k Off!!"

    Excuse me?

Trying to deflect things from your current inane campaign to chat up the
group about your little spam problems?

I asked why you were doing something ridiculous. I then suggested a
perfectly legitimate newsgroup to chat about spam and ways to combat it.
Is that what you call a flame war?

If I were as much a jerk as you seem to be I would have simply taken a
page out of your book and told you to **** off right from the start but
I'm just not that kind of fella, I tried to help your misguided ass.

Go back to berating someone who gives a ****....at one time I actually respected your
commentary, now just because you are the self-proclaimed "Cock of the Walk" in this
group, and seem not to care about helping or are you one of the "PinHeads" running the
scams and really do not want any light shed on the subject ???

Go back to pounding Noel's pud if you care not to contribute anything of help, other than
your incessant sarcasim and running down of other's in the group..

Until when? Until you were an idiot and I asked you to stop doing it?

Don't like my posts anymore? Right click this message and choose "block
    sender"...no skin of my nose.

    > now just because you are the self-proclaimed "Cock of the Walk" in this

Self-proclaimed? You care to post a quote or citation to back that up?
    Can't? Didn't think so.

You are like a twelve year old that has been told to stop misbehaving and
is saying "You're not the boss of me", even though he knows he was
    ****ing up.

    > and seem not to care about helping

How come when an idiot gets called for being an idiot their stock
response is "you never help anyone" even if all the other posts from me
to people who are asking questions and looking for help, not re-posting
their spam or tasteless off topic jokes, are just helpful? Sorry, I'm
just tired of idiots and you happen to be acting like one :-)

    > or are you one of the "PinHeads" running the

You really do want to run your credibility right into the ground, don't
you. If you just want to attack me, why don't you at least do it in an
intelligent and relevant manner. I gave you the name of a group that
genuinely deals with the spam problems, not something a spammer or
scammer would be liable to do.

    > Go back to pounding Noel's pud if you care not to contribute anything of help, other than
    > your incessant sarcasim and running down of other's in the group..

Well, at least I'm smart enough to know that the real Noel long since
stopped posting here. As far as "pounding his pud", I think you may be
applying something you practice yourself to others, sort of a
    transference thing if you will.

All your little mean-spirited attacks on me, trying to accuse me of being
mean spirited, are just a little bit, err, hypocritical sounding.

Stop re-posting your ****ing spam in these groups and you won't hear any
    more **** about it.
