Yes. There are things SpyBot catches that AA doesn't, and vice-versa.
If you use Internet Explorer, use SpyBot and also run SpywareBlaster.
Both have "immunization" features which will help a little to fend off
spyware. You will do yourself a mountain of good by dumping IE (and,
if you use it, Outlook). The vast majority of spyware works by
hijacking IE in using one method or another. I also recommend going to
Wilder Security's download page (http://www.wilders.org/downloads.htm)
and getting three tiny patches: DSOStop, which removes the Data Source
Object exploit (SpyBot can also do that), HTAstop, which removes the
nasty, nasty HTA exploits, and the WSH patch (Windows Scripting Host
-- the patch removes a very nasty function that Microsoft felt so
important to expose users to). All patches allow you to undo them if
you find you ever need those functions except the WSH patch: For that,
you can use the undo patch from
http://www.diamondcs.com.au/downloads/unwsh.zip. It's very unlikely
that you'll need or want to undo them, though. But even with those
patches, it doesn't mean IE is safe, not by a long shot.
