Just noticed that CWShredder blatently deletes the HOSTS file if it detects
any "malware" sites it monitors.

If you use SpywareBlaster, you can ensure that you have a hosts file backup
by using Tools/Hosts Safe...

Hi YoKenny
You are absolutely right - noticed that myself and told Merijn. He is
looking into it.

I downloaded the update V1.31.0 but it still deletes it. There is a topic
in the DSLREPORTS forum about this.

lonny jones openened this topic in SpywareInfo just before I was going to
open a topic about the same thing.

I wonder if it has to do with the size of the HOSTS file? Mine is ~600K.
It also claims I do not have the ByteVerifyer patch which is not true as I
have installed that patch.

Thanks for the info. I use HOSTESS to manage the HOSTS file so I quickly
export a new file and am back in business.
