The link was posted in a hub..and even though there is no link for his "hacked" client on
the page, the exploit exists and is extremely important for all users of oDC and DC++ to
upgrade ASAP to prevent an opportunist from totally compromising your system.... oDC 2.5
and DC++ 2.63 and earlier versions are susceptable to this bugger, versions oDC v2.511 and
DC++ v3.01 have this flaw fixed....If you do not upgrade, you are just inviting as if you
had a trojan installed and left it to operate...

Such an exploit certainly exists in these earlier versions.

But the fact is that your original post is, itself, an exploit
... an exploitation of pure hysteria, and an attempt to 'tap
into' the fears of those who don't understand much about general
    security issues.

Not to mention the fact that, as a previous reply stated, you've
fallen for an obvious hoax or, at least, a grim joke.

By all means, report such software exploits. But DON'T back them
up using rubbish like that. Makes you look like a newbie fool,
frankly. Or, at worst, a link in the whole anti-P2P chain. Get a
    grip.

    [Snipped]

Seems with all the BS inflicted by the RIAA and hackers of late, any update for security
reasons is worth accomplishing, especially with weasels in KaZaa using back-doors of the
Fastrack to screw up shares and pass bogus files...in the DC Net there are so many new
peeps not knowing that they sharing their entire hard drvie and unscrupulous
individuals(hackers and the industry snoops) trash their systems..I as a sysop in several
hubs teach these newbies as I uncover them and if not ban them until corrections are
    made...

It is not recommended to share your O/S system folder, your installed program
folder(s)[some hubs will kick and ban you if you share eml files also due to embedding of
malicious materials]..These are bannable offences..since personal information is readily
    available from them...

Just share media(underage/child/beastiality porn will get you banned in most
    hubs)/zipped/self-installer program files/Document, text files/Picture(if X-Rated, please
identify as such)...1-20 gigs of sharable files will get you into 90% of the available
    hubs..
