Just formatted my other pc.

I can remember coming across a free program that actually prevented
installation of spyware , however ive forgotten the name of it any help?

I use and recommend IE-SPYAD
http://www.staff.uiuc.edu/~ehowes/resource.htm#IESPYAD as another line of
defence.
