Lately I haven't been able to access certain web sites at all, specifically
certain sites that are
protected for security reasons, such as my hotmail inbox, my internet
banking page, and two bill paying sites for telephone and cell phone
service. When I try to access these sites I get the standard error screen
telling me the server can't be found. Another funny thing has happened.
When I try to access my Internet Explorer "Internet Options," I get the
following message: "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions
in effect on this computer." What does that MEAN?????

All this shortly after installing SpyBot. When I went to my ISP for help,
the techs suggested the problem could be due to SpyBot and told me to
uninstall it. Which I did. But the problems persisted. Then I was told
that the uninstall probably didn't change important things SpyBot had done
to the registry. So now I need to figure out how to change the registry
back to the way it was????

Any thoughts on what the cause of this problem could be? And whether SpyBot
could be the culprit? And how to FIX it?

I have the latest updates on my Norton Antivirus software by the way, so I'm
assuming this couldn't be a trojan horse or virus????? Or could it?

Thanks.
