Port Hijacked???

I have a similar question to the one a few lines below from John. My
Internet Explorer now launches with dial-up proxy configured to local host
port 8083. Every time I launch IE, I have to uncheck the dialup proxy
server box in order to access the Internet. Have I been hijacked and how do
I fix this annoying problem?

Same problem I'm havig - Adaware didn't fix the problem though
