How 'bout being real cool and stop spamming this; you've already
    spammed it twice before.

Anyway, what a POS site! Your Proxy Auto-Configuration script isn't
half as good as the one that comes with eDexter and that's over two
years old! Not to mention that a host-based proxy does not protect you
against malware that doesn't USE the proxy anyway...

And, rather than depend on other people to come up with tools and
content (for which you seem so willing to take some cool credit), come
up with some valid stuff on your own and come back. Perhaps you can
contribute here. Then I'd be happy to help.

Not only is the edexter PAC-script a laughing matter, it seems not so save

The only thing I like about yours has over eDexter's is the ability to
bypass it from the browser and its recency. Granted, the eDexter PAC
is a bit out of date, but it still works well. I've been tweaking mine
a bit, and others have posted ones here as well that are excellent. Of
course, the issue is mostly moot here because so many of us use
    Proxomitron and non-IE browsers.
Both your and eDexter's PAC files really slow the browser down, much
more so than Proxo. Plus, Giel, you need to learn how proxies work and
what their limitations are: you'd know that local proxies are
completely useless against applications that do not use them. (FWIW,
that's a limitation in Proxomitron, too.) In other words, spyware that
connects directly to the net rather than via browser hijack won't be
stopped -- this is why HOSTS or DNSKong is the preferred method, and
why you don't see PAC used much. That's why I've been pitching these
and other methods and not PAC. So don't go making the claims that it's
a "spyware stopper", because it's not.
In as far as that link goes, thanks for it, but you really, really
need to take a course in firewalls and networking basics before
posting. The reason why the firewall will flag an attempt to contact
eDexter from outside is because eDexter acts as a virtual web server
to serve up pixel images to replace blocked ads. In other words, it
runs on port 80. So, if you get an incoming request to port 80 on your
machine (9 times out of 10 it's somebody running KaZaa), the firewall
will think it's meant for eDexter. It's a non-issue even if you don't
run a firewall since eDexter only accepts connections from localhost
and non-routable addresses, and even if it didn't there is no
appreciable vulnerability in the thing. You can see this behavior in
any programs that runs as a server.

Well, i don't think you are the one to tell me to get learning, however,
some of the negativaties you write are truth.
susch as other programs that don't use IE's connection, but browsers getting
    slow????that can never be truth.
And as you may have noticed as you actually browsed my site (although im
still in the process of translating) i'm hosting a hosts-file bigger then
700MB, kept up-to-date using this newsgroop.
I never claimed it stopped all the spyware, i think even spybot cannot make
    such claim.
but now you mention it, i will link spybot on the site aswell!

Anyway, i'm just a little troubled intresting people in this, and im afraid
people, allready a bit causious, will not be using it as you keep beeing so
negative about my "SPAM"-like way to announce it.

And BTW. this script must develop !
Therefore i'd like people to take a look at the script,
and any altered script can be uploaded using http://nina.xs4all.nl/upnav.htm
Within one hour it will be hosted at http://nina.xs4all.nl/pac/others (the
script only works when hosted on a webserver)
