    Where's my file shredder?

I'm using spybot 1.2, it doesn't appear to have the file shredder.
Is this the old version or some thing?
    Is this an update issue?

Easy Mode doesn't have all the categories shown in the navigation bar on
the leftside. You need to run in Advanced Mode (do NOT use the shortcut
with the "/easymode" parameter) and look under the Tools category.

Rather than having to start SpyBot and then dragging files from Explorer
into Spybot's Secure Shredder, it might be more convenient to get the
    freebie Eraser (http://www.download.com/,
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/eraser/, or
http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/default.php) so you can right-click on the
file and shred it that way (I wished they had named the context menu
item "Eraser" or "Wipe" or something other than just "Erase" since from
DOS days that was just another command for "DEL"). Also, I don't know
what patterns Spybot uses. You only get to select the number of passes
over the file to exercise whatever pattern they use. I suspect Eraser
    does a better job.

Remove the qualifier from the shortcut.

It's a property of the shortcut (right-click on the shortcut).

The install should have created 2 shortcuts, one with the "/easymode"
command-line parameter and another without it (for advanced mode). If
not, duplicate the shortcut and change its properties to remove the
"/easymode" parameter, or remove it from the existing shortcut if you
never want to use Easy mode.

For an idea what a determined adversary can do, though, see this paper:
