Adbureau is an advertising service that places cookies on your
machine, just like Doubleclick. Most likely, you keep visiting some
site that makes use of Adbureau.
If you use IE, try the following link to delete your cookies:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm. Create dummy index.dat
files and mark them Read-Only, if possible. I have not tried this on
XP so I'm not sure if it works. If you're using Win 9x, no problem -
follow this link (http://www.computing.net/windows95/w...um/111809.html)
instead or grab the clean.bat file from my site.
(http://www.geocities.com/yosponge/cookiecl.html) and read the
instructions. Save it as "clean.bat", with the quotes, and as a text
file. There are also a number of paid programs that will do this for
you, but some are spyware. Pretty bad, too.
Better yet, use Mozilla, Firebird, Opera, or just aobut any other
browser. Cookie control is much better with most non-IE browsers.
