    spyware prevention question

I use AdAware and Spybot every other day. Just saw a recent blurb on Pest
Patrol. Does Pest Patrol cover anything other than what either Spybot or
AdAware do? I run Spybot and AdAware every other day to help keep fleas
    off.

They like to think they do and I hear that they have many false indications.

To help stop the things from installing in the first place:
    A good HOSTS file
    http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm
    SpywareBlaster
    http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

    and keep them updated frequently.

Nice of you to be so explicit. I for one will explore these options
    thoroughly. Thanks!

Pest Patrol does cause a lot of "false-flags" and it's a commercial application.
Why pay for something when two of the leading-edge applications are freeware.

Speaking of PestPatrol "false positives"...it said I had Limewire in
my KazaaLite Shared folder when all I have in there are the 2 free MP3
files that come with Media Player. Or am I missing something??

You picked up Lime wire off something else. I lost track, run SpyBot and rid yourself of
    the headaches of PP.
