    Google Disruption

I just came across a problem as I use the Google search engine quite
    often.

Whenever I enter something on google.com, it pauses longer than normal
and then directs me to a generic page with a bunch of generic links.
I have to click on page 2 to get the normal search engine results.

For example, if I search for "New York Yankees", it directs me to a
links such as Prime Seat Tickets, eBay stuff, Logo Watches and other
    "sponsored" links.

If I use google.ca or google.fr etc., it doesn't have this. Anybody
know of this annoying problem? Thanks in advance.

It may be related to this but the investigation is ongoing.

SuperBar/v1 used to do something like this. Alternatively it could be
    something new. Try downloading/unzipping/running HijackThis:

    and saving/posting the log.

    Hotbar does this.

Apart from a hard disk refresh something like Enigma's Spyhunter will get
    rid of it.
