    Anyone ever hear of Kazzalite?

    Hey,
Read of this site on another site, and thought I would see if any
of you have ever heard of KazaaLite? My cousin was using it instead
of Kazaa, and then one day he tried to open up his shared folder and
boom, it said corrupt network drive and/or files, etc. He checked his
hard drive and all there was was a dat file, but the props showed that
it was still half full...he rebooted, then everything was gone, and
the hard drive was empty...he runs AV and a firewall, could he have
been hacked by someone, or even these people who put out this
    "bootleg" copy of the program?

I love KazaaLite, I just upgraded to the latest version from
    http://www.kazaalite.tk

It has had all the adware/spyware features disabled, and also includes
a few features not found in the regular version. I'm not aware of
any similar hacked versions of other p2p programs; in fact I recently
made the mistake of installing a turd called eDonkey which proceeded
to hijack my computer system and inundated me with semi-pornographic
    ads at all times.

Hi All - FYI, be aware that Win32.Swen.A, the phony MS update virus de jure
uses both Kazaa and Kazaalite as infection vectors. See here:

Does it still have that old problem of not allowing you to visit every page
because of the way it alters HOSTS?
