    You sure you didn't start SpyBot 1.2 in *easy* mode? You'll need to
    start it in advanced mode to see all the extras. In advanced mode and
    in v1.2, I can see a Hosts File selection under the Tools category in
    the left-side selection bar. Also, under the Immunize category in the
    selection bar, you can check the option to lock the hosts file (by
    making it read-only) but only in advanced mode. I think easy mode is
    the shortcut added that includes the /easymode command-line parameter,
    and without it then SpyBot starts in advanced mode.

    Many thanks... did the trick. I never thought to look at the properties
    of the shortcut. Wonder why it decided to use the /easymode parameter,
    Im sure it wasn't in the installation prompts.
