    ? Dummies file

Anyone know what the file ?Dummies Updated Alexa dummy dated 2003-09-01 is
    supposed to do?

When I try to download it, Spybot just sets idle for a few minutes and then
red circle with a slash thru it appears over the question mark before
Dummies. Indicating that the download was un-successful.

Close and exit Spybot and restart and the ?dummies file is again listed
    under downloads.

    Any information appreciated.

My first problem of any kind with Spybot.

    Thanks
    Stephen

Earlier today the Au site wasn't responding. Use the little dropdown
next to the "search for updates" button and try a different site. The
German one worked OK for me.

I don't think inaccessibility of a download site is the problem. When you
go to update Spybot today there is a file listed as ?dummies - updated Alexa
dummy. He wants to know what it is before he downloads and installs it. So
do I, having never seen or heard of the thing before now.

Hi.....From a search on Google for Spyware Search and Destroy Dummies, I
conclude that Spybot S and D replaces bots that "phone home" with Dummies.
So, the program won't know the difference, and keeps working anyway. Sounds
    good to me. charlie R

I had the same problem Thursday. Tonight (Friday) it downloaded without
    any trouble.

That means the place you tried to download from was either down or
temporarily unavailable in some way. Eon in Australia isnt even on the list
    any longer.
