I was trying out the freeware version of Spy
Sweeper, and was impressed by how much spyware
it appeared to find, until I examined what is was
finding.

For example, it flagged the file spchapi.inf as
Bonzi Buddy. Now, Bonzi Buddy _may_ use
this file, but it appears to also have legit
uses (a speech engine, I think).

It also flagged a graphics file "dummy.bmp"
in a particular game's data folder as a sign
of Riviera Gold Casino. Weird, since this
graphic is obviously part of the game.

These two definitely false alerts
don't inspire confidence in the product.
Are there any in-depth reviews of it
out there?
