    Help! Hi-Wire

    I use both Ad-Aware 6 build 181 & Spybot S & D. I keep up with the updates
religiously, and scan often. I have the immunization on in Spybot S & D.

Anyway, I just did a scan on Spybot & it found no spybots. I also just
updated Ad-Aware, and scanned & it found 54 new items. All but a few
racking cookies were Hi-Wire. What programs install this? Why didn't
Spybot find anything? Should I just let Ad-Aware clean-up everything?

I can send my log file if anyone is interested.

    Thanks in advance,

    Chuck

If Ad-aware and SpyBot missed the suspect hijack, try Hijack This.

    Go to: http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button. Click: "Save Log" (generates "hijackthis.log")

Next, HijackThis | Config [button] | Misc Tools [button]
Click: Generate StartupList log [button] (generates "startuplist.txt")

Post your log and startup list here.
