    Free Surfer, which I use, has an option to prevent its System Tray
    icon from appearing. It's a great popup blocker too - it works well.

    I hope this address is still current (I don't have a cable modem). If
    not, just look in Google for Free Surfer and you'll find it quickly
    enough.

    It is however VERY resource hungy....So depending on your system you
    may want to consider something else

    PopupManager is what I'm trying now, so far, (3 days), so good and it
    don't sit in the tray. http://www.endpopups.com/index.html
