    P.S.
    if it's something about spam, well it still doesn't affect the QUALITY of a
    good software
    and plus, you can't know for sure that it wasn't the competition doing this
    on purpose

    btw sometimes the good folks of Trojan Remover issue database updates twice
    and more.. PER DAY!

    A. - If they are spammers, they are NOT "good folks", period.

    B. - Regardless of "A.", I don't see that as "a good thing". Timely
    updates, when needed -- such as to respond to new threats -- are one thing.
    But significant "new threats" generally don't come along *that* often; so if
    they're updating multiple times per day, it strongly implies that they're
    not getting it right the first time -- or the second, or the third...
