    looking for a program..

I appologize right away if this is the wrong group for this message! if it
is, please direct me to the right one if you can

I'm looking for a good alternative to the Window Washer
    (http://www.webroot.com).
The only reason I don't like it is because of its interface - I just hate
all those "trendy" "skinned" looking type of GUIs! Part of it is also
because I have an older slower system (Pentium II, 300 Mhz).
So I preffer a "normal" regular Windows gray-looking interface, like the
kind that most of the Windows programs have (i.e. Internet Explorer,
    Netscape 4.x, etc.).

So would you know of a good alternative to Window Washer that has a regular
    interface?

The minute I read "protect your privacy and boost your systems performance" - my
snake-oil bells went off... snake-oil, crapware, whatever.

There are no end-all tools in one basket that can accomplish all what so-called
    "washer" applications claim doing.

Tell us what you'd like and we'll tell you if it exists - too many URL's to post
    that *might* qualify.

and yet, that's exactly what I'm looking for - a Window Washer type of
    program (only with a simple Windows-like grey GUI [RGB = 212,208,200] )
that's able to erase all the tracks of my activites on a computer, like
cookies, temp, index.dat, cache, visited web sites, history, etc.

Have a look at http://www.hazeleger.net/scams/scam3-a.htm, although it
deals with a particular type of "advertizing", there is a link to a
list with both freeware and shareware programs that promise to do the
same as these "washer" programs. Please do mind that I haven't tested
either one of these programs, so I cannot vouch for them (too bloody
    hot to test!)
