No it erases files to prevent them from being recovered or overwrites
slack space.

To remove index files, use either

Spider http://www.fsm.nl/ward/ (Not for XP)

or

System security suite

http://www.igorshpak.net/

Mrublaster also does the index.dat of cookies and TIF but not the one in
the History folder I believe.


One warning none of these software are perfect, so i wouldnt risk my life
on using them.
