The phrase was coined about a hundred years after Adams, but it's always
been true: "Power tends to corrupt..."

Here's another phrase for you, reportedly from the Florida Tourism people:
"Come back to Florida- we weren't shooting at YOU."

    Regards,
    Ian.

    Nice one, ty

History oft repeats itself. Maybe if one of the author's books "Unequal
Protection: The Rise of Corporate Dominance and the Theft of Human Rights"
was compulsory High School study some future mistakes and abuses could be
    prevented... It's on Amazon at $18.87. A bargain !

In a free capitalist surely the Market is king. Where the market must be
controlled and confined as the RIAA would have it then an entirely different
type of society springs to mind. If "they" cannot give us what we want
surely "they" should change - not us !

In this new technological age a new business framework with *appropriate*
law is called for. It must be international and respectable. I have no doubt
it this will be, one day. But for now the current RIAA strategy brings the
law into disrepute and this is good for noone. Why should we suffer because
"they" have not yet dealt with change ?

    [snip]

Nice piece. He definitely makes some good points. Too bad he couldn't
resist the urge to also take a few unrelated pot-shots at Republicans in
general and the other obvious strawmen he set up; but I suppose that is to
be expected from such a "flaming liberal" source. Sad. It would have more
credibility -- and be far more useful as an "education tool" -- if he'd just
    exercised a little restraint.
