"International Conspiracy of Spyware" Part I

    "International Conspiracy of Spyware".

I have compiled documentation from whois data old and new, old website pages
    using archive.org,

and using the USA State Corporation databases to help track down those
    behind all

this. Right now I can link Alex Shamash of lop.com, spawnet.com/net, to
    that of the

    VX2 Corporation (VX2.cc, VX2.com, and VX2.org), Jason Lucas of
    Trinityaquisitions.com

(Partner to Alex Shamash), and the old Blackstonedata.com/.net gang of 3.

On June 5th 2003 I discovered Stop-Popup-Ads-Now.com that was downloading
    spyware that

was claiming to be Popup ad blocker and was able to get the word out to

spywareguide.com and the Lavasoft forum. Now their download link no longer
    works but

on July 3rd, I went to chinatopnews.com and got the security warning box
    asking me to

download a Patriot screen saver. It had the Stop-Popup-Ads-Now spyware
    bundled with

it. The business name to trust was Better Internet and whois pointed to

    abetterinternet.com.
When I was at abetterinternet.com I noticed that the copyright stated it was
    a Unit of

Direct Revenue LLC.. At the site direct-revenue.com I looked at the Senior
    Staff page

and got quite a surprise. Here is the 3 names for Direct Revenue LLC.

    1. Joshua Abram:
Joshua Abram is a successful entrepreneur with substantial expertise in
    creating and

executing on- and off-line direct marketing programs and partnerships.
In 1999, Abram co-founded and led business develpment of Dash.com...an
    affiliate type

toolbar..the site now belongs to the real dash detergent and is in Europe.
    Johsua

Abram is also listed as the owner ov VX2.org.

    2. Alan Murray
In 1996, Mr. Murray desired to transfer his industry experience to the new
    economy and

founded PIPE9 Corporation... and also was the president of COMMERCEINC.
Then old whois shows Murray along with Rodney Hook were the owners of
    Blackstone data

which now is listed as belonging to Fla Internet Marketing Inc. which is
    listed in the

Florida Coporations database as belonging to Jason Lucas.

Jason Lucas (Trinityaquisitions.com) is also listed in the as a corporate
    offfice

along with Alex Shamash (lop.com/spawnet.com/.net) as owners of Secure
    Software Inc.

which is advertised on warnet.com (owned by Fla Internet Marketing Inc.
    Jason Lucas)

as Popup blockers and spyware removal software.

If you go to http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/info/ between 7am to 12 am
    Mon -Sat and

enter spawnet or c2 media, you will get the lop.com address that was entered
    into the

    Government database.

Yes, Rodney Hook was definitely involved in the Mindset Interactive
(Blackstone, VX2, TPS108, etc.) group. He had an @disk11.com address
(Disk11 hosted and are suspected of developing the Transponder parasite)
and had access to the ad-serving system.

I don't think this necessarily means anything - C2 Media (Fla) are known
for buying up old dead domains and selling them on or running LOP clones
    on them. blackstonedata.net has been inactive for a couple of years now;
at the time it was operating, the domain was not C2 property.

For more info on what Mindset got up to, search the SEC's database at
    http://www.sec.gov/edgar/searchedgar/webusers.htm . I don't believe
the Mindset gang are the same people as the C2 gang.
