How did this stop my spyware?

I had key interceptor installed on my computer, that I share with my
step-daugher. Her cousin came visiting and I noticed that the program kept
getting shut down.

I would start it again but when it happened again I changed the password to
access it. I had been using it's default password.

When I next checked the program wouldn't start at all. When I booted up I
would get a xp error window saying key interceptor had a problem starting
and would I like to send this info to microsoft.

Anyone know how this might be done?
