: What caught my eye on this write-up is the link to the Spywareinfo
RapidBlaster
: killer executable.

: Can't say that I blame them for trying. Worth the read.

I just out of curiosity went on a spy hunt thru the registry...I found
RapidBlaster.com listed in my RAS address list in the registry along with a
few other nasties that had long since been removed..This seems to be a
section of the registry that is missed by both AdAware, Spybot and a few
others...It appears that IE will recall these 1st and then hunt DNS from the
web, so any web page calling these cached entries could be a vicious circle
of re-infestation(.Since I havehad RAS lookup now disabled for the last 3
months, it is a worthless address list and have since toasted all...it seems
to serve no function other than as an in registry DNS)...

This feature in XP(and maybe other versions) could be a gate way for RB and
others to continously re-infest(just a possibility, IMHO)..
