I'm trying to help a friend in Oregon upgrade her PC...I live in Maryland...so I'm doing this over the 'net. She has an eMachine T1120. I know, not exactly my first choice for a PC either...but that's what she has. It's running slow becuz it only has 256 megs of Ram. It has a Intel 810e chipset with a Celeron 1.20Ghz CPU. It currently has a 256 meg PC133 SDRAM memory module. It says that it maxes out at 512 megs...which seems low. But what I can't figure out is if it has 2 memory slots. Am I safe to assume that it has 2 memory slots and that she just needs to buy another 256meg module of SDRAM?
I looked at upgrades for her PC on emachines' website and they only listed a 128meg and 256meg module as an upgrade. So I assume this means she can just add a 2nd stick of 256 and that for some reason, the mobo won't recognize a 512 stick?
