Is someone in my PC ?

    Hello,
Got a question for ya, hopefully I can find an answer here,
My girlfriend let this very nosey geek hook up an external hard drive through a usb cable to my computer to download some pictures. Since then my computer has been a little "weird".
Anyway, I was wondering if he could have had that drive programmed to automatacally upload anything when he connected it. Once it was conected she did all the "work" such as opening files and selecting th download pics and then hitting download.
Also, is there a way i can search out find anything he might have inserted?
    Thanks for your help

We are going to need a little more information here. What do you mean when you say "weird"?

How about some specifics on the computer also?

Let's see, first I noticed my address bar had disappeared. Then I went to do system restore and it has somehow been disabled. I checked and it has not been turned off in "services". Been running a bit slower than usual as well.
I have a Dell 2350 with Windows Home OS. And of course I using IE for my browser
P.s. Soory bout the delay in responding, been way to busy at work.

He is probably viewing naked pictures of your girlfriend right now (I bet he ran a file recovery program that undeletes/restores files that have been deleted)

He may even have been advanced enough to hide a program that phones home to his FTP/storage server and uploads stuff there from your comp remotely.

Also if he is anywhere near that advanced you more than likely have a keystroke logger hidden in your O.S. too.

I think you guys might be overreacting a bit.

Quazy, I suggest you run the steps in this link that Cauz gave you before doing anything else, ok?
Afterwards, if the 'weirdness' seems to continue, then please attach your HijackThis log file to start with.

there are other higher end pro software solutions but this one is pretty nice and a monkey could operate it.
