    My DVD drive has stopped working due to limewire

    basically my xp computer is a mess its got loads of spyware adwear and others ive got atvir and spywear doctor and mcafee but they dont really have a good firewall also i keep getting blue screens saying stuff like BIOS MEMORY something or other check to make sure all drivers are up to date then beginning physical memory dump contact administrator for any updates bla de bla that message
    also for the last 6 months my DVD drive has stopped working and i think its due to limewire i still have a working CD drive but new games need DVD drive to work
    and my pc is so slow it takes about 5 minutes to load up and to shut down
    oh and lately my keyboard has been playing up like when im typing it will miss letter out or suddenly move to the end of a word so i type the word wrong, its not a wireless keyboard either so i dont understand whats going on there

    if anyone could help me with any of these problems i would greatly appreciate it
    personally i was thinking of just rebooting the whole pc

    First of all this thread needs to be in Spyware Central since you say it is loaded with "spyware, adwear, and others" so I am moving it there.
    Next you say that you are running Antivir, and McAfee...this is an absolute NO-NO. Only ONE antivirus program should run on any computer. Totally uninstall one of them...your choice. Update the one you decide to keep.
    P2P file sharing is just not recommended here. You have given the reason yourself....due to limewire.....P2P sharing causes more trouble than it is worth, believe me. So you get a pay for program for free...as I said in an earlier thread;
    I sort of liken it to eating a cheeseburger that has been mailed to your house, in plain brown paper, without a return address and not knowing who sent it to you but eating it anyway because it "looks like" a Big Mac and it is free...nobody in his/her right mind would even consider doing that because of the very likely risk of food poisoning but they will take a file from an unknown and load it onto their computer and take the risk of poisoning their computer because it was free!
    Next you need to go to READ ME Before Posting A Request For Assistance!
    Follow ALL the steps given there. Once you have completed all those steps then post back here with the requested logs and then we can see better what else needs to be done.
