I just installed XP pro for real.

Not the upgrade. I reformatted and did complete install. Now I still have the same issues as in the thread below, but I know it's not the cd.
I'm assuming I need to install drivers but don't know how to tell which ones.
I went to the HP website, and there are many drivers listed for my computer.
Are the current ones listed somewhere on my computer?

You really should have continued with the original post.everything on my screen is too wide!
You should have some sort of PAPER verification of what came installed on the computer
...hardware I mean or who the manufacturers were. Rule #1 of reformatting is being absolutely certain that you have ALL the drivers for ALL hardware ready to reinstall on the computer after the install of the operating system. A reformat requires the reinstall of ALL drivers...you should have received a disk with the computer which contained the driver files.
We don't have a clue as to the make or model of the computer, what is installed on it in the way of modem, ethernet card ,audio, video, cd drives, cd burners, hard drive and who were the manufacturers of these items? and until we have that we have no way of being able to offer any assistance.
