    folder options, ctrl alt delete, registry problem

    Hi, I have a problem with my comp. When i click on tools in any folder instead of the regular options it shows Map Network Drives, Disconnect Network Drives and Synchronize ... When i try control alt delete it gives me a message saying "Task manager has been disabled by administrator" and I can't access my registry even using Reglite

    In the start menu my run option is present, but i can't access my registry through c:/Windows/regedit.exe or using Reglite (it opens the registry but it closes before you can even see anything)

    Also this virus was transfered to a friends computer via an ipod (used like an ext hdd) if that helps at all

    I have tried virus scans but nothing has been detected

    i have norton so i ran that and it didnt pick up anything. i tried running the online kaspersky scan but i couldn't. i think the malware or virus is causing the problem. i ran hijackthis and this is what the logfile said...

    You obviously are using a file sharing program, or more as at least one was running in the background during your HJT scan. This is no doubt where your problem comes from. It is not something we encourage or approve of and is a violation of our forum rules and in some cases can be considered illegal activity. Risk of infection is definitely higher. You are showing at least two or three infections running in the background, one of which is in the group of Trojan Spyware Perfect Keylogger
    It is known to do the following;
    • Installs programs.
    • Deletes programs.
    • Invokes dll components.
    • Creates Run Keys.
    • Runs other programs.
    • Communicates with web sites using http out protocols.
    • Terminates processes.
    • Has outbound communications.
    • Creates known malware.
    • Creates copies of itself.
    Another infection showing in your log is one which spreads itself via removable storage devices and since you are into file sharing it wouldn't even have to be your own, it could have come from somebody you do not know who was happy to share the infected files of his pirated movie from his external storage device with thousands of others like yourself. Ever wonder how these computer killing programs spread....this is one of them.

    I have no idea what this entry refers to;
    C:\Documents and Settings\Aush\Desktop\blabla.exe

    I would recommend you do the steps found here...READ ME Before Posting A Request For Assistance!
    Since you cannot do the Kaspersky scan then do at least two of the others and have them clean if possible.
    I will warn you in advance, from what I found about at least one of your infections it may be impossible to remove as many of the scanners have not been updated to do so.
