Thread: Okay, I think I'm ready to post finally...lol.

    There is something that looks like a garbage can with the recycler icon and this:

    S-1-5-21-3633688268-642946...

    contains 98 files and 24 folders. Now, once I opened the recycler, then clicked on the file above, it showed 3 other files...msn gaming was one of them. Was I supposed to click on the above file and delete the files within it? Because I just tried to delete what was under C:\RECYCLER...not what was under the file within it. But I am going to do that now and post back my results.

    S-1-5-21-3633688268-642946393-4186261979-1005 is where the two files are located;
    They are Dc1.exe/data0004 & Dc1.exe

    If you can delete them, do so, along with that MSN Gaming

    I deleted everything in that recycler folder. I'll have a new scan and a new kaspersky in a few minutes.

    Ok,
    you need to run HiJackThis again.
    Place a checkmark next to the following entry
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [horyl] C:\Program Files\MSN Gaming Zone\horyl22011.exe
    Once you have placed the checkmark then click the Fix Checked Button.
    Exit HJT.
    Then reset your System Restore this way;
    1. Right click the My Computer icon on the Desktop and click on Properties.
    2. Click on the System Restore tab.
    3. Put a check mark next to 'Turn off System Restore on All Drives'.
    4. Click the 'OK' button.
    5. You will be prompted to restart the computer. Click Yes.
    Once the computer has rebooted then do the same thing but this time Remove that Checkmark to Turn On System Restore.
    Reboot.
    Run a new Kaspersky scan and post the log and run a new HJT scan and post the log.

    JHolland, I'm sorry, I've been on vacation in Disney...I hope we can pick up where we left off. I do appreciate the help. I'll follow these instructions and post back.

    Give me the new HJT log. Kaspersky looks clean but if your NAV found Vundo we need to see a new HJT scan. I assume that NAV killed the VUNDO?

    Here's the new HJT. NAV did catch it, quarantined it.
