    It's SOOO Hot.....

    IT'S SO HOT...

... the birds have to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground.
... the trees are whistling for the dogs.
... the best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance.
... hot water now comes out of both taps.
... you can make sun tea instantly.
... you learn that a seat belt buckle makes a pretty good branding iron.
... the temperature drops below 95 F (35 C) and you feel a little chilly.
... you discover that in August it only takes 2 fingers to steer your car.
.. you discover that you can get sunburned through your car window.
... you actually burn your hand opening the car door.
... you break into a sweat the instant you step outside at 7:30 a. m.
... your biggest bicycle wreck fear is, "What if I get knocked out and end up
... lying on the pavement and cook to death?"
... you realize that asphalt has a liquid state.
... the potatoes cook underground, so all you have to do is pull one out and add butter.
.. the cows are giving evaporated milk.
... farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying boiled eggs.

Those are pretty funny. Here in SE GA it gets over 100 degrees with heat index for about 3 or 4 weeks a year. Family from the north say we are used to it. Truth is we are used to dealing with it. I feel for the folks up north experiencing those temps now.

LOL! Picked my 4 year old granddaughter up yesterday from school at 11 a.m., temp was all ready 90 with heat index nearly 100. As we drove out of the parking lot she said, "boy I wish it would snow!" I asked her why and she said, "then we wouldn't be so darned sweaty!"
    She has a point

The heat doesn't bother me as much as the fact that sweat doesn't evaporate here. You just end up wet.
I would rather have cold weather than hot.

Oh come on...we all know the heat in Phoenix is NOTHING like it is elsewhere in the country because....as I was constantly reminded two years ago while in Phoenix, in July, for a convention...."BUT IT'S A DRY HEAT"

Had a phone call from our 10 year old grandson this evening...they live in Charlotte...time was 8:45p.m. and he called to tell us that he and his parents were at the Panther-Patriot game. He was quite excited about being there. Our daughter got on the line to tell us hello and also to say that the temp, right then and there, was 92 degrees!

LOL!!! It is exactly 9:20pm as of this posting and the temperature is a cool 102F!

It probably won't go below 100 until way past midnight!!
