You sound like a young lad (under 25), I'd not worry about these type of stuff all that much until you are in your 30s. Women come and go, sometimes it is your fault and sometimes it is a blessing in disguise that she actually dumped you! My only advise, don't worry too much about breaking up with your woman until you got the carpal tunnel syndrome on your primary arm!

PS. I'd never seen the point in killing/hurting/beating your loved one and the person she/he was cheating on you with because if your lover has done such an act, that would pretty much mean you had already lost her/him emotionally(love, respect, etc.) so just move on....
