    Are you experiencing any specific problems?
    One entry...
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [?????????] ??????????????e
    is VERY suspicious.
    You also seem to be running two or at least parts of two anti-virus programs...AVG and Norton, at least both or parts of both are showing in the log. The rule is ONE anti-virus program on a computer, same goes for firewalls.
    Did you change the default Windows Prefix?
    This entry O13 - Gopher Prefix:
    indicates a change.
    The HiJackThis program should be run from it's OWN file, not from the desktop.
    You need to create a file specifically for HiJackThis.
    C:\Program Files\HijackThis OR C:\HijackThis
    To create a new folder:
    Click START > My Computer > Local Disc C: > Program Files
    Now, RightClick on an Empty Area and select New > Folder & name it HijackThis and Click ENTER.

    Since you removed Norton you DO need to also do a manual search for any files named Norton and remove them. Then search for files named Symantec and remove those.
    A firewall is not showing in your log, are you using one? If not, why?
    I have honestly no idea what these two items are;
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [?????????] ??????????????e
    O13 - Gopher Prefix:
    Countless searches have given me virtually nothing and I don't use Vista so I hesitate to advise removal especially of O13 Gopher Prefix for the moment. Some advise removal, some advise that it is a portion of Vista...
    The other is most suspicious.
    I would advise that you go here
    Follow all the instructions there, including running the Kaspersky online scanner and also do a HouseCall anti-virus online scan...if it finds something then let it fix.
    Once you have done all the recommended steps then run a new HJT scan and post the log here.

    I still don't see a firewall on the computer and still have no information on this entry;
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [?????????] ??????????????e
    I have not seen it before and searches turn up absolutely nothing.
    Can you look in your Start Ups and see if you can see what it possibly can be?

    Much of what is running shows at the top of the HJT log in Running Processes. It doesn't look to me as if there is much to be concerned about, are you having a specific problem? Windows Firewall doesn't usually show in HJT logs this is probably why it was not recognized there.

    Here is how to check on the firewall configuration;
    Go to Control Panel, click System and Maintenance, click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Windows Firewall with Advanced Security.

    You can check to see what processes are running at any particular time by right-clicking on the Taskbar and select Task Manager from the context menu. It looks pretty much like the Task Managers from previous operating systems with various tabs.
    Applications tab operates exactly the same in Windows Vista as it does in Windows XP. It allows you to determine the status of a task as well as end, switch, or create a new task.
    To see running processes just click on the Processes Tab.
    Processes tab provides you with more detailed information. When you access the Processes tab you’ll notice the new Description column which identifies each process you don't get this identification in XP so this is new in Vista. This can help you decide if you want a process to run at Start or not.
    Note the attached illustration.
