Thanks for your help.
- Download Vundo Fix and save it to your desktop.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
- Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
- Click the Scan for Vundo button.
- Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
- You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click Yes
- Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
- When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from Click the Scan for Vundo button when VundoFix appears at reboot.Did you do this?
- Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in your next post.
Run the Microsoft® Windows® Malicious Software Removal Tool
I also would like you to run at least two of these online scanners and have them fix anything found, please also save any logs they generate.
• BitDefender Online Scan
After you have completed ALL of the above steps then run HJT again and post that new log along with the VundoFix log and any logs from the online scans
Thanks again.
I will go through your logs and get back with you later in the day.
Can you run a NEW HiJackThis scan and post the log here please?
This will help me to know what remains.
Thanks!
Judy
P.S. Am I correct in presuming the activescan log is a Panda scan?
Go ahead and try it with Firefox. Know there is a problem with your IE. Your entire system is way out of date, but let's get thing cleaned up first before tackling that. Am going through your logs from this morning and will get back to you asap. Have to get the grandkids at school
Also, in SAFE MODE try looking for these two files noted in RED;C:\WINDOWS\System32\IExplorer.dll .dbt
C:\WINDOWS\2.exe
If you find them, delete them.
Still no luck with the Housecall. It acts like it is scanning and then disappears without warning. I did, however, find a file called .housecall6.6. There doesn't to be any type of logfile or executable file in the folder. It is almost as if the program began to download, erred out and quit. Is there something I need to be looking for?
I located and deleted the IExplorer.dll.dbt file as you requested. I didn't have any luck with the 2.exe that you also had listed.
Give me a a new Kaspersky scan also maybe try the Panda Scan
