No HJT scan report.....

could not load highjackthis file using "Manage Attchments". Was telling me it was an invalid highjackthis file. had to cut and paste. was unable to log on to the internet using DSL, had to use dial-up connection.

First of all, looking at your HJT log it essentially looks clean.
You do have a huge number of program, many unnecessary, that are loading at start up but we will handle that shortly.

One thing I would like you to do now is empty your prefetch folder.
The prefetch folder can be accessed at C:Windows\prefetch
Open the above folder and delete all the contents.

After you have done that, click on the links below and tell me if you can access them;

can not connect to either site using DSL. DSL is intermitent. did connect to both using back-up dial-up connection. deleted prefetch files.

The sits are not listed under restricted sites in IE7.

This seems crazy. using the DSL connection I can not connect to either site in your previous post. Using dial-up, i connect with no problems. however, I can connect to your site (although I can not reply) using DSL. I can also connect with DSL to www.herald.com. turning off the firewall had no effect.
