Hey now. I said that it would be good for folding :P I keep getting these crappy WUs that take me 2.5 days to complete...I'm doing pretty well also.

I know, every little bit helps with folding, that's the biggest problem we have these days is convincing everyone that it's a team effort.

the q6600's power consumption isn't that bad. The PS3 is good for 900/ppd and draws 200w so I'm basically putting out 3x the production and only using %50 more power.

Truth be told I bought the quad with folding@home in mind, everything else is just a bonus. I probably should be saving my $$$, but I'm addicted and have been for quite sometime. the quad draws way less power than my old 4 node athlon XP folding farm and is way more productive.

One of the biggest reasons I switched from AMD to Intel was because I got fed up with the crappy point production my Athlon64 x2's showed in F@H. This has more to do with Stanford folding clients than AMD's cpu's though. Stanford's work units seem to be optimized for Intel's C2D's (or intels c2d's are optimized for F@H )

LMAO!! I have a C2D on my laptop, I haven't put folding on it, as it's a Mac and I don't use it that often...but I see where you are coming from. I just have this baby folding as much as possible, I know every little bit helps. I'd run some of my other computers too, but the electric bill is so high and it's so hot as is.
