I just bought a 19" widescreen monitor, native resolution 1440 X900, 75 Hz. I plugged it in, booted up, and it's not filling the screen. Display properties still show 1024X768 and there's no place to change to a WXGA+ monitor. The "user manual" refers me to control buttons to fix resolution, but y'know, they must be in hiding, because I've searched this monitor all over and can't find it.

I'm also curious if this problem could be compounded because they supplied an analog cable and not a digital cable. Am I right in assuming the picture will be clearer and sharper using a digital connection?
