Thanks so much for all your time and help, I'll call HP and see what I can do. There are some programs I'll have to re-install but I obviously added too much stuff and am having problems now because of it. I'll talk to my comp guy and get his thoughts and if he thinks I need a new windows I am guessing HP should at least verify I have a legit copy. I still wish I knew what happened in the first place! If there is ever any music you need send me a PM I deal in records for a living and you've been so helpful I'll try and track down any music if you want, of course I am talking about records not mp3s etc though I could transfer the LP to CDR etc.

Essentially, I NEED a WINDOWS DISC To save my suff at this point? That's what I'm getting? Correct? Thanks.
