I just sent them an email. Hope they actually come to their senses and do the right thing.
Fact is that since the one bag is obviously defective it really shouldn't matter if you drilled holes in it or not, unless they were planning on selling it to someone else, in which case they aren't quite as honest and upstanding as their website would lead you to believe.
