If you paid by credit card, you can dispute the charges which will get the credit card company involved. That usually gets a response

If you never get a refund, you can rivit a plate of aluminum or abs on the inside of the bags to stiffen up the mounting area and keep them straight up n down. probly use wide rivvits and fat washers to keep vibration's from cracking the plate where it bolts to the mounting hardware.

All the kits I've installed were either hung over the fender via a strap of leather that connected between the bags, it was tied on between the bags with nylon cord that knotted on the inside. The strap of leather that went under the passenger seat or the soft bags bolted on like yours but were supported with metal frames the same shape as the outside of the bag.

The hang over bags wer up high snug to the curve of the fender away from moving parts etc etc.. If you go this way I recomend using some 3m stone chip gaurd to prevent the bags and strap from wearing the paint.

Give those people an ear full.

I have contacted my Credit card co. I am waiting on the dispute department to call me back. But in the mean time I am going to buy a set of throw over bags and use them.

What sucks is I spent 150 on easy brackets and I am going to end up ebaying them...

I am doing this strictly because of the principal... They should stand behind the product like they say. I know about the plate to make the bags rigid but they should have included hardware or used heavy leather on the back so they did not do what the one bag did.

This is a response from Leatherup to someone that emailed them about my story...

Please take a minute and email these jerks.

    Dear Customer,
You are emailing us about a story you heard. We do stand behind our policies. We want to protect our customers but we also have to protect our company and our products. If we take back a damaged item and refund the money for it than we put our customers at a disadvantage because we cannot resell damage materials.nobody is going to buy an item that someone else has already damaged. If we are at fault for an item we will inspect said item and refund the money to the customer and also replace their item. We have done this many many times. We thorougly inspect all items sent back to us.Everyone has a different experience.

So, I just got off the phone with Leatherup.com AGAIN!

The lady told me that the bags are made by them so I am out of luck since they will not take the return. They do not care who I tell about how they have treated me because they have thousands of customers and my business will not hurt them...

    What a joke...

Yeah, that pisses me off...file a complaint with the BBB. They'll make something happen. I can almost guarantee it.
