I defragged a few months ago and did an "analyze" a couple weeks ago...said the drive didn't need to be defragmented.

The choice for firewall is your own. Personally I use the built in Windows firewall without problems. Many prefer using one of the free ones noted here
For defragging I use Auslogic Defrag tool. Extremely fast and free.
If you have done a lot of downloading, removing of files, installs and uninstalls and generall cleaning I recommend defragging, even if the built in Windows defrag says unnecessary. You don't need to defrag often but it should be done occasionally and that is why I use Auslogic. ~TL from here is the person who suggested it to me and I love it.
