hello everybody , it is me ,the most troublesome member of the site .

i have some questions. hope you could help me as soon as possible...

    my system is :
    CPU : intel pentium D 935 3.2 GHz l2 4 MB
    M.board : P5B LGA 775 sata .....
    RAM : kinston 512 MB 800Mhz
    d card : Sapphire X1550 256 MB 128 bit avivo
    HDD : seagate 120GB sata2 8mb cache

    and first question :

i have updated bios from version 0806 to 1501 . there is some more version before 1501 . will this caouse any trouble ?

second question : also the strange one.

as you know p5b have some thing new called Aİ suite (Aİ gear, Aİ NOS. ....)
.what ever , when i run AI suite . it does not show 3.2 GHz my cpu speed. it shows 2.4 ghz my cpu speed . what do think what can be the problem ?
i overclocked it .after over clock when i see My Computer ->properties -> first core is 3.2 Ghz and second Core is 3.61 but still in Aı Suite the cpu speed is 2.6 GHz( after upgrade ) .

    third question :

my cpu cock seems to be 200 mhz . what is this ? . i will upload the picture soon . so please help me . .thanks in advance

first , i have updated my mother bios from

I can answer your questions, I think...

    1. If you skipped a few BIOS upgrades, that's ok as each successive one has all the previous fixes from the other ones so it's ok to skip as long as it's the latest BIOS.

    2. It seems you may have CPU-throttling going on (Intel calls it Speed-Step Technology - AMD calls it PowerNow). If you are using Windows XP, go to Control Panel/Power Options and set your Power Scheme to "Always On". Check your program again. If this does not work, you can look in the BIOS for a setting such as 'EIST' (Enhanced Intel Speed-Step Technology) and disable it. One of those two solutions should shut off the cpu-throttling.

    3. The 200 MHz is your memory Front Side Bus (FSB) core operating frequency

The 2.4 GHz your program is showing is the cpu-throttling going on (I'm fairly sure of this). When ever the CPU goes idle even for a millisecond, the throttling will kick in and slow the processor down to conserve power and reduce heat. You have to turn the throttling OFF before your program will show the true speed of your CPU. Follow the instructions in the second part of my last post before running your AI suite. In other words, turn OFF AI before making any changes to the system (Then turn it back on) as it may be reading a cached output.

If nothing has changed after trying the previous suggestions, then it's possible your AI program is reading the internal program that controls the throttling as it tries to invoke said process. You might try a program such as CPU-Z with the AI program off and with the AI program on to be sure the AI program is functioning properly.

Disable EIST in the BIOS and any and all cpu throttling options in the bios and OS. If these don't help, you need to double check your overclock settings, because something is amiss. Also, sh!t can AI and use cpu-z to read cpu speeds. Overclocking should be done via the BIOS, software overclocking $uX
